Designed to operate in virtually any installation. The filters may be used in systems with filter face velocity from 300 feet per minute to 625 feet per minute. Type DP Max extended surface filters offer significantly higher efficiency than disposable panel filters, pad and frame systems, or permanent metal filters. The Type DP Max is recommended where a higher degree of air cleanliness than is offered by these products is required.

Type DP Max filters are enclosed in a die cut frame from two pieces of heavy-duty beverage board. This unit includes diagonal support members that are an integral part of the frame. Each such member and all inside surfaces are bonded to the media pack. The filter media is supported on the air leaving side with a metal grid. This grid is bonded to the media over its entire surface area to eliminate media fluttering while in operation. The grid and the entire pack bonding maintains the uniform shape of the pleats to assure maximum air flow and dust loading characteristics throughout the life of the filter.

The Type DP Max filter is interchangeable, without modification, in most built up filter banks, central air handling stations or side access filter housings. The Type DP Max is offered in a wide range of sizes and capacities.

Airguard Industries Type PowerGuard Pleated Air Filters

PowerGuard filters are made with a totally new concept in media design consisting of 100% synthetic fibers that are needled, and then electrostatically charged. The combined effect of these two processes sets a new standard in pleated filter performance - 70% minimum efficiency on 1-3 micron particles. PowerGuard filters are ideally suited for applications requiring higher efficiency on fine particulate compared to standard pleated filters.

Needled Fibers - The needling process thoroughly entangles the fibers throughout the entire depth of the media creating a dense mat that produces higher mechanical efficiency. The intertwined fibers maximize mechanical efficiency at lower resistance than other pleated filters designed for higher MER Values. Depth loading provides high dust holding capacity.

Electrostatically Charged - After the media has been needled it is exposed to an extremely high voltage which supercharges the fibers throughout the entire depth of the media. The charged fibers attract fine particulate like dust on a TV screen.
